Fused Glass
Welcome to our shop!
We do our best to ensure that our inventory is up to date, but we sometimes are forgetful or miss things while we're busy being creative in the workshop, so please check with us to make sure that any item you may be interested in is still in stock. We are also happy to design any custom piece for you!
Plates
All of our serving plates and bowls are made with food-grade material.

These fishy sushi sets each consist of a 10"x4" plate and three 3.5" dishes for wasabi, ginger and soy sauce. They are made with Oceanside peacock green opalescent glass and red reactive glass. If you look closely, there is a black line between the white and green glass - that is a reaction created by some of the different elements in the glass that, when placed together and fused, create a reaction. Pretty cool!

These 6" square slumped plates are ideal for small hors d'oeuvres. The murini in the centre channel of the blue/black plate was made from the same glass as the top and bottom so the match is perfect! The purple/pink plates are inspired by Escher - there are a total of four, two each of the ones pictured.

Bowls
We call this bowl "Galaxy". It is made from a glass combing, a technique that has the artist stack various colours of glass vertically, heat it to 1800 degrees F, then take a single-prong rake and swirl the molten glass to make a swirly pattern. The combing is then combined with other design elements to make this one-of-a-kind bowl!
9" diameter, 3" high, narrow bottom. Three glass layers makes it thick and sturdy. $75 |
This bowl is made using a "pot melt" technique, where pieces of glass are placed in a clay container that has on hole at the bottom, and suspended over kiln posts in the kiln. It is fired at 1470 degrees F. As the glass melts, it pours out the hole, and "puddles", creating a unique pattern. Once fired, the glass is then slumped over a ceramic bowl-shaped mold. Because of the organic method of melting the glass, the shape is irregular. Approximately 9.5" x 3.5" tall. $65 |
This bowl is also made using a "pot melt" technique, where pieces of glass are placed in a clay container that has on hole at the bottom, and suspended over kiln posts in the kiln. It is fired at 1470 degrees F. As the glass melts, it pours out the hole, and "puddles", creating a unique pattern. In this case, a stainless steel ring was placed under the ceramic pot, giving it a uniform shape. Once fired, this bowl was draped over a ceramic mold. Unlike slumping, where the glass melts downward into a mold, slumping is a process where the glass melts over a mold.
This piece is about 9.5" at the widest part, and 7" at the narrowest part, x 3.5" tall. $65 |
This 3-layer bowl has undergone several processes: creation of the murini that lines the center channel, full-fusing the three layers of glass together in a dam mold, and a final slump in a sharp-sided mold to create its shape.

Lidded Boxes
These lovely boxes are not huge but they are HEAVY! They contain anywhere from 1.5 to 3 pounds of glass. So don't let the size of the container fool you. As an example, one 12" x 12" sheet of glass weighs about 1 pound, 4 ounces. A 12" square platter, having 2 layers would would weigh a little bit less than a 5" round lidded box! These boxes are made using chopped up glass, and have at least 50% clear glass in them. It's a good way to use up small glass pieces.
